Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a major problem, my overhead door broke and I was leaving town. I couldn’t leave my garage door partially open so I called the name on the sticker on my door, Overhead Door. I explained that I was in a situation where I couldn’t leave my door like it was. The very nice person on the phone got a Tech to my house in thirty minutes, and I was on my way in about one hour. Thank you folks at Overhead Door.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the code on my keypad?

Yes, anytime! You are always able to change the access code on your garage door opener, whenever you need. Contact us anytime to speak to our Service Department for assistance.

What type of openers do you have?

You can look here for more information about garage door opener brands and models we carry.

How do I test the reversing mechanism on my garage door opener?

The professional technicians at Overhead Door Company of Southeast Wisconsin™️ have a standard test for a garage door’s reversing mechanism. First, you should find even ground and place a 2″ x 4″ board where your door touches upon closing. If the door is working as it should, it will reverse within 2 seconds of hitting the wood after attempting to close. If the door doesn’t reverse, please contact us to have a qualified technician visit your home and diagnose the problem.

How often should I do this?

We recommend repeating this process every 3 months to consistently assure your safety.
